Roomy, versatile, cool, sturdy. These could be the adjectives to describe your perfect summer bag. Well, easier said than found. So while you look for your dream summer bag, why not crochet one yourself, with the help of a hook and an incredibly colourful cotton yarn. Being unable to make up my mind on the right colour, the right texture or the right stitch to use, I eventually decided to use them all in a reversible, amazingly versatile summer bag. A sandy, soft colour on one side, decorated with a vaguely lacy pattern, and big colourful stripes on the other, perfect for when you feel romantic or energetic.

Materials:

• Schachenmayr “Catania Denim” 100% Cotton, in colours natural 00102 gr 200, lemon 00120 gr 125, tangerine 00124 gr 120, watermelon 00152 gr 00130, denim 120 gr 120. Distributed in Italy by Coats Cucirini.
• 3 mm crochet hook
• 3 cm cotton strip: about 2 m
• Tapestry needle

The bag is 40 cm wide and about 44 cm long.

Una borsa capiente, versatile, fresca e resistente. Questi potrebbero essere gli aggettivi adatti a descrivere la borsa perfetta per l’estate, ma tra il dire e il trovare-la-borsa-dei-sogni c’è di mezzo il mare.
Nell’attesa possiamo provare a realizzare la borsa con le nostre mani, l’aiuto di un uncinetto e del cotone opaco dai colori meravigliosi.
Presa da mille dubbi sulla scelta del colore e della trama… ho deciso di non rinunciare a nulla realizzando una borsa reversibile. Un lato color sabbia con un leggero motivo traforato e l’altro lato a larghe strisce colorate, per le giornate romantiche e per quelle vitaminiche!
