Worthy of Note
This intricate lace beret is worked in the round from the
bottom up. After working a knit 1, purl 1 ribbing, increases
are worked for the body. The body and crown of the hat is
worked from a chart.

When working the crown decreases, change to double
pointed needles when the body circumference is too small to work on the circular.

Kelbourne Woolens Andorra (60% Merino wool, 20% Highland wool, 20% mohair; 185 yds/50 gm skein): 412 dark navy, 1 skein.
GAUGE
31 sts and 40 rnds = 4” (10 cm) in K1, P1 Ribbing on smaller ndls, after blocking.
1 patt repeat (24 sts) = 3.5” (9 cm) and 28 rnds = 4” (10 cm)
in body chart on larger ndls, after blocking.
NEEDLES
1 – 16” (40 cm) US 1 (2.25 mm) circular.
1 – 16” (40 cm) US 3 (3.25 mm) circular.
