Deer Appliqué
You may use any yarn hook combination you choose.
My preference is to work this highly as for an amigurumi with a hook several times smaller than that recommended for the yarn weight.
As shown, the deer are in worsted weight wools using an E/3.5mm hook.
On my birthday in the early part of the 21st century, I walked along one of my favorite alleys in town. It had a stand of birch and other trees between houses, like a micro forest. I always paused there, at the surprise of a tiny patch of wildness in the tiny city, the sudden sweet smell. This street grows steep as the slope of hillside rises. When I emerged from the alley, I looked up to see a huge deer running down the street, past the parked cars. I looked at it and it at me, though no understanding passed between us. It veered sharply right where I had been, down that alley, perhaps toward the tiny patch of forest.
My first friend in this part of the world was a hunter, who supplemented her family’s food with the venison she prepared.
