Death Valley
The American Fingering yarn in the color “Super Bloom” that used for this design is available for sale on my website - www.kristeninstitches.com
Death Valley in the springtime is on my bucket list, which is why I could not help but feature this park in April! Inspired by the wildflower “super bloom” that occurs each spring, this slightly slouchy hat features a pretty “dandelion stitch” pattern that I think looks like a perfect little desert bloom!
The color I designed on my American Fingering weight yarn is called “Super Bloom.” A base of desert-inspired hues -- sandy browns, beige, and light green, with pops of deep purple, poppy, and sunflower yellow speckles. The design calls for holding 2 strands together for added blending and texture.
This design is really fun to knit because it’s like knitting your own beautiful bouquet of desert blooms. I hope you’ll enjoy knitting Death Valley as much as I did!
