Day at the Races
This stylish beret is knitted in the round using stranded knitting techniques, never using more than two colours on any one round. It is a great introduction to stranded knitting for beginners.
Available either as a single download pattern or as part of A Stitch in Time volume 1 in print or download formats.
The beret uses my Fenella yarn, a 100% british wool in a vintage 3 ply weight. It uses 5 colours requiring 1 skein of each of:
Roman Plaster
Jonquil
Atomic Red
Myrtle
Myristica
Other Requirements are:
Set of 2.5mm (US 2) double pointed needles
3mm (US 2.5) circular needle (40cm in length)
Set of 3mm (US 2.5) double pointed needles
Stitch Marker
Also available as a kit from my website
