This is the second pattern in my Knit for ME Research series. It is named after David Tuller, the author of the Virology blog. I could have called it Davida but thought Davina sounded better. I don’t suppose he would mind either way.

The shawl itself is a shallow triangle knitted sideways which is commonly called a Bactus shawl. The edging is knitted along as you work the shawl. 
This pattern is ideal for that one special skein of 100g hand spun or other fingering weight yarn you have in your stash. I have chosen to show off my first skein of hand spun yarn. It was in a mixed bag of colours from Coldharbour Mill Museum in Devon, UK. Loads of fun to spin and to knit.
