Handmade raglan cardigans always make me think of reading on rainy afternoons, and I tried to impart a similar sense of comfort and calm to this piece. Leather buttons and elbow patches hearken to the 1970s of my childhood, and I call the sweater “David Cardigan” as tribute to my five favorite authors, who all happen to be named David and whose audiobooks I listened to while making the sweaters for this collection (Wallace, Sedaris, Rakoff, Eggers, and Benioff).
