Dathan gloves

A kit for these gloves is available in the KDD shop

Stripey, long-length, fingerless gloves in a simple 3x1 rib pattern, allowing you to play with colour in your own way. Dathan is a Gaelic word for colours.

Gauge
28 sts and 36 rounds to 10cm / 4in over 3x1 rib in the round.
Use 3mm needle as a starting point for swatching.

Size
To fit average adult hand, with 18-20cm / 7-8in circumference.

Pattern notes
These long fingerless gloves are worked from bottom to top. After 5cm / 2in of 2x2 rib, the gauntlet body is worked in a 3x1 rib pattern following the knitter’s preferred stripe sequence. After thumb stitches are inserted and increased (following a chart), the hand is completed, and each of the four fingers and the thumb are worked separately.
