Welcome to the fun of novelty yarn!

This design is named for the gentleman of Lethe from The Ninth House trilogy by Leigh Bardugo. Dive into a world of hidden gateways and portals, magic and the arcane, where nightmare and fantasy collide.

This pattern/design can be used with several different types of novelty yarn. It can be difficult to find patterns for these yarns, with their different fibers and textures, but it’s a different game when they’re held double with a “normal” yarn we’re accustomed to. Alternating yarn held double with a single strand, this beautiful texture is enhanced and the concentric circles stand out when worn. The crown tapers beautifully with the continued stitch pattern.

** Note:** This pattern does seem to use more yarn than usual. Yardage is listed for a single strand of Ella Rae Classic Wool, ranging from teen to adult XL sizes.
Row gauge is not terribly important as the length of the hat is quite adjustable.

Finished sizes: Height is adjustable.
Circumference:
Small ~17”
Medium ~19”
Large ~20.75”
X-large ~22.5
