Darby is the perfect project for any whale lover! He is easy to crochet and uses up those scraps that seem to multiply on their own in the stash basket. Variegated or striped yarn could be used in place of the scraps if preferred.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: adjustable ring, working in spiral, basic crochet knowledge

FINISHED SIZE: 8 inches long x 3 inches tall (not including water spray)

MATERIALS: Size F/5/3.75mm hook; 1 ½ oz worsted weight yarn^; (2) 12mm black safety eyes; 12” length of black embroidery floss; stitch marker; fiberfill; tapestry needle.

^Approx 3 yds white, 1/2 oz face color, 1/2 oz tail color, and ½ oz assorted scraps for stripe color of Red Heart Super Saver was used for sample project.

GAUGE: 4 stitches and 5 rows per inch in single crochet.
