Dappled Lace Raglan is an all-over lace raglan that is knit top down in the round. The lace motif is simple to knit yet creates a gorgeous and ornate textile. The texture of this sweater is light and drapey, and the relaxed fit makes for a comfortable and easy to wear garment. YARN
Ritual Dyes Undine—fingering weight, 100 grams, 383 yards (350m), 60% cotton, 40% linen.
Samples knit in the colorways Rye, and Peony.

Undine from Ritual Dyes works beautifully in this design, but feel free to sub for any yarn that you like and get gauge with. If you are looking for a more financially accessible yarn, Knitpicks Lindy Chain, Circulo Anne, DMC Natura Just Cotton, or Patons Linen could work for this pattern.

SIZING
XS(S, M, L, XL) (XXL, 3X, 4X, 5X)

To fit a chest circumference of:

30(34, 38, 42, 46) (50, 54, 58, 62)“ /
76 (86.5, 96.5, 106.5, 117)(127, 137, 147.5, 157.5)cm

Sweater is designed to be worn with 4-8” 10-20 cm positive ease at the chest. Finished garment has a chest circumference of:

36(40, 44, 48, 52) (56, 60, 64, 68)“ /
91.5 (101.5, 112, 122, 132)(142, 152.5, 162.5, 172.5)cm

YARDAGE
The yardages below reflect the short sleeved, cropped version of this sweater with the measurements listed in the schematic.

462(540, 582, 669, 755) (846, 904, 1064, 1171) yards

422(494, 532, 612, 690) (774, 827, 973, 1071) meters

To knit a full length body and full length sleeves, you will need approximately:

917(1072, 1157, 1329, 1500) (1680, 1795, 2113, 2326) yards

839(980, 1058, 1215, 1372) (1536, 1641, 1932, 2127) meters

Yardages provided for full length body and sleeves are more of an approximation as this pattern is designed primarily as a cropped short sleeve tee, and that is what most testers knit and provided yardage information for. The yardage I have provided here is based on my full sleeve and full length sample knit in a size L.

GAUGE
16sts x 30 rows = 4” x 4” in lace pattern knit in the round, blocked.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
• US 5 (3.75mm) circular knitting needles or any size needed to get gauge, I recommend a 24-inch circumference circular needle for the yoke and body, and a 16-inch circumference circular needle for the sleeves.
• 4 locking stitch markers, with one that is unique to mark the beginning of round.
• Darning or tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
• Spare circular needles, interchangeable needle cables with stoppers, or waste yarn for holding live stitches.

CONSTRUCTION
Dappled Lace Raglan is knit top down. After casting on at the neckline, you have the choice to work optional flat neck/shoulder shaping for 8 rows, or to forego neck/shoulder shaping and immediately join in the round for a simpler knitting experience. At the end of the yoke, sleeve stitches are transferred to holders, and the remainder of the body is worked to desired length. After finishing the body, sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and worked to desired length.

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
All lace components to this pattern are available both as written and charted instructions. If you are new to knitting from charts, comparing the written instructions to the charted instructions is a great way to make sure you are correctly understanding the charts. You can track your stitch counts throughout the yoke by checking the Stitch Count Table on page 11.
