The finished dog measures approximately 5.5cm (2⅛in) from top of hat to lower edge of ruff and 4.5cm (1¾in) wide.

Dante Dog features different coloured ears and eye patches, a top hat and a ruff, made using various stitches and openwork. The dog is finished with embroidered details and a brooch bar. Dante also looks lovely displayed in a picture frame.
Inspired by the Commedia dell’Arte, Dante Dog is a member of an imaginary theatrical troupe.

I used Scheepjes Maxi Sweet Treat. The project takes just a small amount of each shade of thread.
