Danny's Sock
All proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be donated to Autism Speaks in honor of my friend Danny and his family.
As of 31 December 2013, I’ve raised $20 for Autism Speaks.
This is a traditional cuff-down sock with a heel flap and gusset. The jigsaw puzzle pattern is added with duplicate stitch after the leg is knit.
The pattern is not written for a specific sock knitting style - it is very easily adapted for DPNs, two circulars needles or magic loop.
The yardages specified are for the main color. You will also need several yards each of red, yellow, light blue and dark blue.
Skill level is advanced beginner - you should be familiar with duplicate stitch and simple sock architecture.
Sizes :
small - foot circumference 7” (17.7 cm) (300-350 yds/275-320 m of main color)
medium - foot circumference 8.5” (21.5 cm) (325-375 yds/300-350 m of main color)
large - foot circumference 10” (25.4 cm) (350-400 yds/320-365 m of main color)
The pattern includes negative ease, and will stretch to comfortably fit the foot circumference.
