These socks were inspired by pressed flowers and the look of dandelions seeds before they get blown away. The leg length is easy to customize by repeating more or fewer repetitions of the stitch pattern. Rows of flowers alternate with Stocking stitch for an easy-to-knit but textured project.

Notes
The socks are worked from the toes up, starting with Judy’s Magic Cast-on. Toe increases are first worked on every round and then every other round. The socks feature a modified Fleegle Heel. Once the heel is done, a flower pattern is added on the leg. The socks finish with a 1/1 twisted ribbing and an elastic cast-off.

The leg length is easily customizable by working more or fewer repeats of the Chart. If you want more flowers, you can also knit fewer rounds between the repeats.

-The stitch pattern for the leg may require a larger needle, as suggested above, to maintain the same circumference as the foot. If you have a larger ankle and calf, you may wish to increase the number of stitches to the next size up (either instead of or in addition to using the larger needles) to customize the fit of your socks. Some knitters may additionally require smaller needles than those used for the foot for their ribbing.

-If you are using Magic Loop style knitting, we suggest dividing the stitches in the following manner: One needle for the Front/Instep of the sock, and the other for the Back/Heel and Gusset/Sole of the sock.

-If you are using double-pointed needles, you may wish to divide stitches either over four needles with two for the Front/Instep and two for the Back/Heel and Gusset/Sole, or to use one for the Front/Instep and two for the Back/Heel and Gusset/Sole.
