Daisy the Skunk is the 5th Forest Critter to make it into a blankie. She features a sweet little face, a big bushy tail, and a lovely shell stitch blanket. She has cute and simple little feet and hands and is holding a flower.
This is a crochet pattern and not a finished item.
This is a 9-page PDF in American Crochet Terms. Basic crochet stitches and simple construction. Simple sewing and embroidery is required. Surface Slip stitch or Embroidery. Several photos are included to help with details. All common yarn and stuffing. Extremely detailed assembly instructions. Some in-line color changes. Very few ends to sew in! Stitch Markers and Straight Pins recommended.
Medium Weight Yarn (also called Worsted - Weight, #4, or Aran) in:
Skunk (I used)
- Color A (black) 240yds/265m
- Color B (white) 90yds/82m
- Color C (mauve) 60yds/54m
- (white)(black)(eye color) – small amounts
- Flower – small amounts of 2 colors + green
Gauge:
G hook: 16sc = 4inches
I hook: 4shells, 8 rows = 4inches
Gauge is not super important as long as your parts are in proportion, though may affect total yardage.
