With a little boy just over one, we have been singing a lot of nursery rhymes in our house, and one of our favourites is ‘Five little ducks’. I have decided to make my own little duck to sing along with, meet Daisy the duckling!

This pattern will give you access to an easy to read PDF of the basic colours for this duckling, as well as a bonus PDF for mallard colours.

Materials for basic colours
• DK or 8ply yarn in main colour (MC) and contrasting colour (CC)
• 3.75 (F) crochet hook
• Stitch marker, tapestry needle and scissors
• Polyfill
Optional: 2x 7.5mm safety eye (not meant for children under 3 y.o.)

Materials for mallard colours
• DK or 8ply yarn in green, white, yellow, orange, grey and brown
• 3.75 (F) crochet hook
• Stitch marker, tapestry needle and scissors
