Daffodil Hunter Shawl
This shawl is knit back and forth on circular needles or long straight needles. It is knit from the centre out in one piece and cast off along the bottom edges. It is designed to be made with two colours of 4 ply weight yarn although you could use different yarn for a bigger or smaller shawl. It makes use of garter and stocking stitch to give texture with a little bit of slip stitch. This pattern is suitable for adventurous beginners.
Grey and yellow is a classic combination that can be worn over jeans during the day or to dress up a nice evening outfit. This shawl is especially useful on chilly spring evenings and is the perfect accessory for daffodil hunting.
The sample was knitted in Fyberspates Scrumptious 4 Ply 55% Merino wool, 45% Silk; 365 m / 399 yds per 100 g with 1 skein each of colours Water and Daffodil.
You should use whichever size needles will give you a loose and enjoyable knitting experience with the yarn you choose.
