Daffodil Days is a color-blocked triangle scarf/shawl with eyelet accents and three size options. Simple to knit yet full of thoughtful details, it’s designed for easy springtime knitting and wear.
This pattern was originally part of the Spring 2024 Elizabeth Smith Collection with Manos del Uruguay/Fairmount Fibers.
PATTERN INFO:
Sizes: Kerchief (Shawl 1, Shawl 2)
Kerchief is a smaller tie-around neck size, while Shawl 1 and Shawl 2 offer increasing wingspan for more coverage. Choose the size based on your preferred finished measurements.
Finished Measurements:
Center Depth: approx 17 (23, 29)”/43 (58, 74) cm
Wingspan: approx 40 (56, 70)”/102 (142, 178) cm
Yarn: Approx 350 (620, 1000) yds total of DK-weight yarn, shown in Milo by Manos del Uruguay (65% wool, 35% linen; 100g = 380 yds). Quantities for each color listed below:
- Color A (for top): approx 125 (240, 360) yds, shown in color Pollen, 1 skein.
- Color B (for bottom): approx 225 (380, 640) yds, shown in color Savannah, 1 (1, 2) skeins.
Gauge: 21 sts and 35 rows = 4”/10 cm in St st after blocking
Needles & Supplies:
- US 6/4 mm 32”/80 cm circ, or size needed to obtain gauge (note: size Shawl 2 may also want to consider a 40”/100 cm or longer circ).
- Stitch markers.
- Tapestry needle to weave in ends.
