Cyrus is an oversized unisex sweater with a deep V-neck, set-in sleeves and wide 2 x 2 ribbing. It is worked in wool and silk mohair, giving the design a soft, light look with beautiful structure and drape. Cyrus is a pullover you can just through on again and again: soft, simple and classic, a staple piece you’ll always return to.

CONSTRUCTION

Cyrus is worked top-down. You first work the back of the neckline, then pick up for the shoulders and the top of the back. The shoulders are worked separately until they are joined to create the front. When front and back are joined, you continue in the round. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and for the ribbing at the V-neck. The pattern includes short rows (German short rows).

Indicative size guide: The grey Cyrus pullover is shown in a size 1, which gives me 31 cm / 12.2” of positive ease. A positive ease between 10 and 40 cm / 4 and 15.7” is recommended, though less ease for men than women.

YARN AND GAUGE

Two strands are held together throughout. The pullover in the photos is worked using 1 strand of Jensen Yarn col. 3 and 1 strand of silk mohair col. 3 S - both from Isager Yarn.

For men, the silk mohair can be replaced by e.g. Alpaca 1 or Spinni from Isager Yarn.
