This stocking is adapted from several patterns in Weldon's Practical Stocking Knitter, Volume 12, Sixth Series.  This series contains designs for cycling and golf stockings, all sized for men or boys.  I have used one of the many cuff patterns offered, and applied it to a boy’s ribbed stocking.  Although the original cuff pattern calls for two colors, I have used three, and have worked the stocking leg in a size to fit a woman.  I’ve used a Welsh heel and a Star Toe of Three Points for this fun-to-knit stocking.
