Cyclamen Cowl

Cyclamen Cowl is an elegant design that is perfect for using that precious set of minis or a variety of leftover yarns. It can be knit in any number of colors.
The piece captures the delicate magic of winter gardens, where the petals of cyclamen blooms unfurl, bright sparks of color in the quiet of the season. The flowers are created with dip stitches with just one color used in every row.
The cowl is worked from the top down in the round. The top and the bottom of the cowl flow seamlessly into the garter rib that echoes the rest of the pattern. Directions are both charted and written out, video for flowers provided.

The cowl is worked in the round from the top down.
-
The top and bottom edges are composed of 3x3 garter rib that flows seamlessly into the pattern.
-
The body of the cowl is worked in stripes of different colors. After one stripe is completed in color 1 (C1), the new color 2 (C2) is joined. Flowers of C2 are made over the C1 background using the dip stitches. Then the rest of the stripe is finished in C2. After that, color 3 is joined, and the process repeats.
-
The circumference of the cowl can be adjusted by making more or fewer flowers. Specifics is covered in the pattern.
-
To adjust the height of the cowl, just work more or fewer of the stripes.
