Use a soft, silky yarn for this surprisingly quick-to-work-up pullover to get a lovely cowl neck detail without layers of bulky fabric. The cowl neckline is worked right onto the sweater front, in an easy-to-learn increase of the shell stitch pattern.

Stretchy stitch patterns such as this one don’t really cry out for technical waist shaping. The resulting fabric has a lot of give to it, so it will settle where it should on your body without a lot of outside help!

NOTE This sweater was photographed on the wrong model so looks a bit stretched out. The pattern is written for a slightly looser fit with more ease, and more drape to the cowl.

ERRATA: under Sleeve, Rows 7 and 8 were mixed up - what says Row 7 is actually Row 8 and vice versa. Sorry about that!
