Cathy Payson has placed wide and narrow cables side by side to form flattering vertical “stripes” in this appealing cardigan that is sized just large enough to make it cozy and just fitted enough to make it flattering. The front bands are worked simultaneously with the fronts. The garter-stitch collar is worked separately --with mitered corners shaped with decreases -- and sewn in place.
