Curly Whirly
This lovely textured scarf using a variation of easy stitches is a great stash buster and knits up really quick. It is knitted on large 8mm circular needles and you can use a combination of yarn weights from sockweight to bulky by knitting a variety of strands together, which I advise on in the pattern and the way it is knitted causes it to “waterfall”.
It was inspired by a customer and Ravelry friend Lynne Ashton of Lynne Ashton Designs who has a similar project on her Ravelry Page called “28 Row Scarf”. Mine in fact is one row less, is slightly shorter in length and uses a larger needle size.
Sadly since I designed this scarf, Lynne lost her battle with ill health and passed away. She was a lovely lady and far too young but I hope wherever you are Lynne you are inspiring others with your knitting and cheerfulness. Much love x
