Cullah Collah Cowl Ckids
Color is my signature in knitting and this cowl adds lots of color to the grey and white landscape everywhere in winter. The finished product is toasty and avoids the dreaded hat head. What’s not to like? Included graphs: Baseball Glove and Ball, Big Dog, Blanks, Bunnies, Carrots, Cupcake, tFootball & Basketball, Hearts, Holly, Lacrosse Sticks, Little Dog & Hydrant, Meow Kitty, Musical Notes, Paw & Bone, Polar Bear, Shamrocks, Shred Band, Skates, Ski Band, Snowman, Trees & “WOOF”
Knit in worsted weight on smaller than normal needles for extra warmth, any worsted or even DK weight yarn can be used but please don’t mix weights or it will look wonky when done. Two motifs and 3 bands of checkerboard rib will make a 7 inch height, three motifs and 4 bands of checkerboard will give a 10 inch height. Eight lengths are given, but if making longer than the first 2 lengths, the 7 inch height will work best. The yarn amounts provided are for the 10 inch height in each length, but be mindful of the total amount of yarn needed to complete each size. If doing the whole cowl in black, white, and grey instead of all the various possible colors then larger amounts of each of these three colors will be needed than a cowl with 9 different colors. Smallest size takes about 325 yds, largest about 610 yds.

Any worsted weight yarn can be used and though exact gauge is less important in a cowl or scarf, swatching will be a help in choosing the cast-on number closest to the number of inches / cm circumference desired in final piece.
