Ctesias the Unicorn
This pattern is also available for purchase via PayHip or LoveCrafts.
In European mythology, the Unicorn is a white horse- or goat-like creature with a long horn and cloven hooves. It is not a mythical creature to the ancient Greeks, instead the descriptions of this beast instead appear in accounts relating to natural history. The earliest description appears in Ctesias’ Indica (4th Century BCE) and provides a very different colour scheme – a white body, red head, and a white, red and black horn!

Notes
Toy Safety
If the toys are for children, it is highly recommended that measures are taken to ensure that the toy is safe - for the eyes, use safety eyes or secure embroidery; and ensure that all limbs / wings / other additions - including manes and tails where appropriate - are secured firmly.
Sizing
The toys can be scaled up by knitting them in a heavier weight yarn (using the appropriate needles for that yarn weight). Please note that yardage / meterage requirements will change when altering size.
