TECHNIQUES USED FOR THIS DESIGN

  • Cast-on
  • Bind-off
  • k1, p1 ribbing
  • Decreasing
  • Increasing
  • Picking-up and knitting for attached sleeves
  • Weaving separate sleeves to body, stitches to rows
  • Single crochet
  • Weaving underarm and side seams row to row
  • Working on a circular needle for top of trousers
  • Simple embroidery

Regardless of their age babies and children’s actual body measurements vary. It is helpful to use the FINISHED GARMENT MEASUREMENTS, from the chart below, which refers to this specific garment only. It can help you choose the fit you prefer.

YARN USED FOR SAMPLE

  • Yarn Bee—Yarntopia
  • 100% Acrylic
  • 312 yards-(285 meters)—4 ounce-(113 grams)
  • 3(3--4) skeins
  • Small amount of contrasting color for saddle stitching

For this pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.

FOR A SUBSTITUTE YARN
