I have many beautiful natural linen tablecloths from Sweden, so I like to add soft color with a table runner. A typical Swedish pattern is knit in intarsia on each edge. You can decorate it with Austrian crystal beads or sequins-either way, it easily fits in with many tabletop concepts.
