Crystal Ball
Legends of Rock Pattern #8 - inspired by Tommy Shaw
“Crystal Ball” was Tommy Shaw’s first album with Styx. I’ve always remembered the liner notes – “Hot Damn, Tommy Shaw.” Like the song, this shawl has swirling melodies overlaid on an underlying rhythm, and a gradual fade at the end.
The shawl is worked from the center out. The lace pattern is both charted and written out. The pattern includes instructions for placing beads on different types of stitches.
Skill Level: advanced - requires ssk, k2tog, double decreases, placing beads, working in the round, reading complex instructions or charts
Additional materials:
- 1400 8/o seed beads
- 8 stitch markers
- blocking supplies
