Crosswise Top
The cotton Crosswise Top is worked from the top down with raglan shaping. The pattern features a mesh pattern in the yoke and heel stitch in the body and sleeves. The bubble sleeves are picked up and worked from the top down to the cuffs.

Yarn Jo Sharp Soho Summer DK Cotton (100% cotton; 109 yd 100 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #250 Fog, 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) balls. Yarn distributed by Kingfisher Yarn & Fibre.
Needles Sizes 4 (3.5 mm), 6 (4 mm), and 7 (4.5 mm): 16” and 32” circular (cir). Sizes 4 (3.5 mm) and 7 (4.5 mm): set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 32 rnds = 4” in Mesh st on middle-size needle; 20 sts and 32 rnds = 4” in Heel st on largest needle.

This top is worked in the round from the top down with raglan shaping.

When increasing for the raglan shaping, keep at least one stitch on each side of every marker in stockinette stitch. When working additional stitches into the mesh pattern, do not work a yarn over if there are not enough stitches to work the corresponding decrease.
