Crossbuck
Gloves are so desirable in cold weather; they’re much warmer than fingerless mitts, and allow more dexterity than full mittens.
Crossbuck features an elegant cross cable on the cuff and then the work is plain. Fit is key and the pattern is designed to enable you to ensure a custom fit for your hands.
This pattern is written for the Magic Loop method using two separate needles (one for the main body of the gloves and one for fingers). It can be worked on other needle setups if you wish, but you should expect to need to make allowances for a different setup.
Materials
- 1 skein of Vintage Purls Superstar (70% Polwarth, 20% Silk, 10% Black Merino; 380 metres / 416 yards per 100g skein). The model is a size small and used 50g of yarn.
- 2 x 2.50mm 80cm (or length you prefer for Magic Loop) circular needles or size that gives you gauge.

- A small amount of scrap yarn and a tapestry needle to transfer stitches to it.
