Pattern uses denim cut in strips from legs of old blue jeans. Calls for “size 16 or larger” hook; presumably means 16mm+. Pattern note says that a pair of legs from a teen’s jeans will make 1 square foot of rug, and one yard of 36-inch-wide denim will make about 2 square feet of rug.
