Crochet Vests
This is a pamphlet pattern with no copyright date on it, but looking at the clothes and hairstyles, it could be from the 1980s or 1990s. It dates from the time that Lyscordet/Lysbet/Goldfingering were sold in 25g balls as all quantities are specified in 25g balls.
Published by Twilley’s of Stamford. Pattern number 6464. “Crochet Vests”. Designed for Twilley’s of Stamford’s Lyscordet, Lysbet and Goldfingering yarns.
Design choices are stripes across the chest or in one solid colour.
- 3.00mm needle.
- in the UK these are ‘vests’, in the US, they’d be called ‘tank tops’
- pattern is made with one row of UK dc followed by one row of UK tr.
- stripes take up anywhere from 25g to 50g per colour. The pattern uses 3 colours total, the MC, C1 and C2
- no stitch diagrams or charts
