Welcome to the world of Ellie’s, where the cutest little creatures live together in a pretty world made of yarn!

My designing adventures began right here, with this adorable, crochet unicorn. Born in 2016, she was a request by a beautiful little girl, my own little girl: Ellie. Then 11 she asked me if I could crochet her a unicorn. I didn’t have any patterns, so feeling ambitious, I decided to have a go at designing my own version.

And here she is! Ellie the unicorn, created lovingly for her namesake and now available as a crochet pattern. So if you love crocheting and have some little ones (or big ones!) in your life that love unicorns, why not make them their very own cuddly, magical friend. Or maybe you just love unicorns and want to make one for yourself!

So grab your hook, some yarn, settle yourself in front of the TV with a warm cuppa and enjoy some well deserved crafty time!

As a guide, your finished unicorn will be about 30 cm from head to foot if you use the specified yarn (Double knitting) and a 3mm crochet hook.
