Crimson Cape
A woman’s cape done in single crochet with double-breasted button band and arm slits. Worked from the top down in one piece, this is an easy project.

Finished Size: 30 (34, 38, 42, 46)“ bust circumference and 26 (27, 27, 28, 28)” in length (not including collar). Garment shown measures 34”.

Yarn: Lion Brand LB Collection Superwash Merino (100% superwash merino; 306 yd 280 m/3½ oz 100 g): #486–114 cayenne, 6 (6, 7, 8, 8) balls.

Hook: Sizes I/9 (5.5 mm) and K/10 ½ (6.5 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: St markers (m); yarn needle; twelve 1 ⅜“ buttons; small piece of ½” wide grosgrain ribbon; one size 4 sew-on snap; sewing needle and matching thread.

Gauge: 19 sts and 18 rows = 4” in st patt with larger hook after blocking.
