- Pam Brown

Sizes
Small (Medium, Large)
The sock is designed to have a negative ease of 0.5-4 cm / 0.25-1.5” to fit a circumference around the ball of the foot of 16-19.5 (18.5-22, 20.5-24) cm / 6.25-7.75 (7.25-8.75, 8-9.5)”
The length of the sock is adjustable.
For a good fit, make socks 1.5 cm / 0.5” shorter than foot length.
The leg of the sock is designed to be a bit wider than the foot, as colourwork with long floats is not as stretchy as stocking stitch
Gauge
The socks are knit with a tight gauge to make the fabric more durable.
On 2.25 mm / US 1 needles:

36 sts and 48 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in stocking stitch after blocking

36 sts and 48 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in stranded knitting
Make sure that both row and stitch gauge is correct if you want a sock that fits well. I am a tight knitter so you may need to go down a needle size to obtain gauge.
