Cranford: A Beaded Bag
I designed this little bag for a workshop at my LYS. I called it Cranford since I was watching the BBC presentation while knitting it … and it just is as delicate and feminine as that show!
This little beaded bag is a fun knit and a great first knitting project. You have to string the beads before starting, but the Cleo holds up nicely to the size 6/0 seed-beads and the beads look awesome. The pattern is easy to work and the beads are slid into place when needed.
You’ll need 85 size 6/0 seed beads for this design - pre-strung.
Knit in the round, this bag goes to gather quickly and would be stunning for a wedding party (all the bridesmaids could have bags as their remembrance) or as a little bag for the bride (filled with tissues or rose petals/potpurri to exude a lovely fragrance during the ceremony!).
The directions are both chart and written.
