Cozy Stripes is a classic cardigan with original shoulder construction and collar shape as well as stripes in contrasting colors. The cardigan is knitted seamlessly and topdown. Starting with a provisional CO, the shoulder is first worked and than knitted in rows down to the base of the armhole. Sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is finished with in a slight A-line. The sleeves are worked in rounds. Finally stitches for buttonband and buttonhole band are picked up from the edges. The collar is shaped with short rows.

yarn: The cardigan can be made with any yarn that matches the gauge. The combination of a fingering or sockweight yarn with a thin lace or mohair yarn results in a light and cozy cardigan with a nice drape.

Cozy Stripes ist eine klassisch geschnittene Jacke mit origineller Schulterkonstruktion und Kragenform sowie Streifen in Kontrastfarben.
Die Jacke wird nahtlos von oben nach unten gestrickt. Beginnend mit einem provisorischen Anschlag, wird zunächst die Schulterpartie gearbeitet und in Reihen bis zur Armlochtiefe gestrickt. Die Ärmelmaschen werden stillgelegt und der Körper in leichter A-Linie fertig gestellt. Die Ärmel werden nahtlos in Runden gearbeitet. Zuletzt werden aus den Kanten die Maschen für Blende und Kragen aufgenommen. Der Kragen wird mit verkürzten Reihen geformt.
Für die Jacke eignet sich jedes Garn, das zur Maschenprobe passt. Die Kombination eines Garnes in Sockenwollstärke mit einem dünnen Lace- oder Mohairgarn ergibt eine leichte und kuschelige Jacke mit schönem Fall.
