Inspired by the undulating hogback ridges dotted with varying shades of shale and colorful prairie grasses at Coyote Ridge Natural Area, these textured lace peds captivate.

The featured stitch pattern is presented in both written and charted formats and is easy to memorize. The arch is fit snuggly to prevent slipping or turning. The pattern is given in one size due to the large pattern repeat, but adjusting the gauge will create varying sizes. It is written for socks knit from the top down on two circular needles with a reverse wrapped short row heel and traditional wedge toe. Experienced sock knitters can easily convert the pattern to other techniques and substitute favorite heels and toes as desired.
