This is a free pattern for a newborn sized crocheted earflap hat. You must be able to crochet in the round to complete this project; you start with the body of the hat, then seam the top and add on the ear flaps and the border. You will need worsted/aran weight yarn in two colors and a size US G hook. I haven’t written out the pattern to fully include other sizes, but I do explain how to increase the size of your hat for an older infant or child.

To make the newborn size I used less than one skein of Vanna’s Choice for the main color and a very small amount for the contrasting colored edging, ties and toppers.
