If you put three of my patterns in your cart for purchase, the fourth pattern will be free.

Grab some stash and make a pretty hat that might not give you the wit of the Dowager Countess (but one never knows!) A good pattern for drinking tea and watching Downton Abbey re-runs (which you can also do with Lady Edith’s Writing Cowl.)

Although the Lady Dye yarn that I used was just for a kit and is no longer available, you may use any fingering weight yarn and Emma’s Splendid Singles in Ice Ice Baby and Jackie O. are similar colors.

Although the Countess wouldn’t have worn this in the show, I think she would have smartly worn it while flinging her zingers in 2021. The hat shown is in a size S because I like mine super snug and worn over my ears in our cold winters.

This is good for an advanced beginning knitter who has done a bit of lace. I always remind people that want to learn lace to place markers between each repeat. There are no charts.
