Cotty
This pattern works well with both semi-solid and variegated yarns! Pattern has two sizes, one written for a sport weight yarn and the other for a fingering weight yarn. The sock fits an average women’s size/medium. Sock pattern is written cuff-down, but can be easily modified for toe-up.
Sport weight size has a gauge of 24 sts = 4” over st st, using a suggested needle size of US 3 (3.25 mm). The leg measures approximately 6”. The pattern used almost all of the 250 yards in the 1 skein of Plucky Knitter MCN sport to fit a size 8 1/2-9 women’s shoe size. If knitting for a longer sock, may want a shorter cuff to use one skein, or you’ll need additional yardage.
Fingering weight size has a gauge of 28 sts = 4” over st st, using a suggested needle size of US 1 1/2 (2.5mm).
This pattern can also be purchased as part of The Woods Family Collection, with the Uncle Frank, Dotty, and Winnie sock patterns and a bonus hat pattern, Naylor Street, for $18 (a savings of $12).
