Cottage Case
This Cottage Case is an ideal home for your pens and pencils. The pattern incorporates intarsia colour work, and the purse is closed with a zipper which is sewn in by hand.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the case is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). The pattern incorporates intarsia colour-work and a little embroidery for decoration.
NEEDLES
A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).
RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; less than 25g in each colour.
NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, an 18cm zipper, and a button for the door handle.
SIZES
One size only - 18.5cm wide x 14cm tall.
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, a p2tog decrease, and seaming to finish.
