The Cornell shrug is special to me as I have been waiting for just the right yarns to come along. The Glimmer skeins used here are the perfect match. See the Yarn used info below for knit kits.

The shrug is knitted all in one piece from sleeve to sleeve, you’ll be creating the neckline by placing a section on hold and later picking it up again to join together and work almost in reverse. Stockinette stitch, decreasing, increasing and two simple under arm seams. The flared bell sleeves do add a lovely feminine touch.

There is room for adjustments in the written pattern with schematic for sizes S/M/L.

Yarn used
Glimmer, 100 yards/100 grams per skein. Featuring 5 yarn strands in total, including a fabulous metallic. The skeins are not plied for a more organic, yet sophisticated look.
4 skeins are used for all sizes.
The knit kits are available at Yarnz2go

Notions used
US 11 (7 mm) circular needle 29” (74 cm) in length.
6 Stitch markers, lockable used for finishing. Scrap yarn or interchangeable needle cord to place stitches on hold.
Darning needle.

Gauge:
12 sts and 14 rows in 4” of Stockinette stitch. You may need a different size needle, as I am a loose knitter and you may not be.

Techniques applied:
Knit and purl flat, decrease, increase, divide into two parts, join again, stretchy bind off, weave in ends, seam under arms and block for best results.

Enjoy this cool looking shrug~
