Cordelia skirt is a long, slim skirt that is worked top down, which makes the length easy to adjust to your desire. The skirt has a waistband, where an elastic is inserted, so that the waist circumference can be adjusted, too. You work a stripe pattern throughout the complete skirt and increases along the sides. Pictured here is the skirt with the Cordelia top, which can be purchased as a separate instruction.
Cordelia is an old Latin name and “cor” means “heart”. Cordelia was also used in the Celtic language around 1800 and meant something like “heart of the sea” or “daughter of the sea”. As the pictured version has a certain maritime flair, it was a good fit, but it looks equally good with other colours and compositions.
Size guide:
Choose a size that is close to your hip circumference. Take measurements around your hip.
The stated measurement on the front page is for the finished garment.
Needle sizes:
Circular needle 4 mm (80 cm) for the skirt, except ribbed hem and waistband
Circular needle 3 mm (80 cm) for waistband and ribbed hem
Colour:
The pictured model is worked in Rauma Petunia in col. 219 and 336.
