Coral Moon
Calling all mermaid daughters, of Triton! This highly addictive, repeating pattern reminds me of Mermaid’s tails as they dive down to their meetings on the ocean floor.
Coral Moon is worked from the bottom up in one piece. The lower body is worked in the round, then stitches are cast on for the sleeves, which are worked back and forth with the upper body, first the front, then the back. The sleeves are joined at the top with a three-needle bind off and seamed at the underarm. Length is customizable and sizes range from 32 to 72 inch finished busts.

As shown:
Emma’s Yarn Drapey DK in Love Drunk (cover photo), size 3 shown on a 36 inch bust with 4 inches of positive ease. To achieve the same look choose a size 4-6 inches larger than your actual bust size.
Emma’s Yarn Simply Spectacular DK, Himalayan Salt (page 6) size 2 shown on a 36 in bust with no ease. For this look (notice the sleeves are a bit shorter) choose the size closest to your actual bust measurement.
Gauge
20 sts and 28 rounds/rows = 4 inches in body pattern stitch.
I recommend measuring your swatch before and after blocking so that you know approximately how much growth to expect. Also keep in mind that the pattern starts in the round and is then knit flat at the yoke. Take care to test both and adjust needles if necessary to match gauge.
