Cooney offers a wonderful mix of stripes and checks and easy stockinette stitch. This lovely cardigan with deep pockets is worked from the top down, seamlessly and in one piece. A circular needle is required to - magically - knit the single row stripes without having hundreds of ends to weave! It’s easy and fun!

You will need:

Main Colour (MC): approximately 900 (950, 1000, 1050, 1136, 1207, 1321) metres or 984 (1038, 959, 1148, 1242, 1320, 1445) yards of fingering yarn (sample shown in Julie Asselin Fino, colorway “Pressée à froid”);

Contrasting Colour (CC): approximately 133 (139, 154, 183, 200, 212, 233) metres or 145 (152, 168, 200, 219, 232, 255) yards of fingering yarn (sample shown in Julie Asselin Fino, colorway “Concord”)

3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle and DPNs
3.25 mm/US 3 circular needle and DPNs

Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L1, L2, XL, XXL) = 35.5 (37.5, 41.5, 44, 48, 51, 56) inches or 90 (95, 105.5, 112, 122, 130, 142) cm finished circumference at the chest.

I suggest to choose a size with 5 to 13 cm or 2 to 5” of ease.

Gauge:
