Cookie the Super Pug, what a dog! From those adorable big eyes to his super red cape, what’s not to love?

Cookie is an intermediate amigurumi (crochet) pattern written in English using US (American) terminology. The pattern includes detailed instructions in an easy to follow layout but a knowledge of basic crochet stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi is essential.

Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Cookie is approx. 13cm tall (5 inches).

You will need:

• 3.00mm hook/D-3 (US)
• 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted > 50g of BEIGE, 25g of FUDGE, BROWN and RED
• 12mm safety eyes
• BLACK and WHITE 4ply yarn or embroidery thread
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester toy stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

• Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.

• Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.

• I’ve used Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/6 in the following colours: o BEIGE = 05 Beige o FUDGE = 14 Caramel o BROWN = 12 Chocolate o RED = 40 Tomato

• I have used plastic safety eyes but you may choose to embroider the eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
