Convertible Mittens
by Lisa Jelle
Skill Level: Beginner advanced-Intermediate
Gauge: 6 hdcs x 5 rows= 2”x2” swatch
Supplies:
Hook: J
Yarn: Chunky (#5), approx 350 yds (Note: Not all chunky yarns are the same. Some are stiffer, more pliant, softer, scratchier. Keep this in mind when choosing yarn for this project). You could also use a double strand worsted weight yarn, but adjust hook size to match gauge.
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Buttons: Qty 2: ½” or ¾” buttons of your choice (decorative purposes only)
Sizing: Teen-Adult Medium (Use K hook for Adult Lg size. By going up a hook size, make note that you may need to omit some of the rows in the flap ‘rounds 2-8’ section so it doesn’t end up too long)
