Concentric Cowl
The Concentric Cowl is knit in the round using 277 yards/150g worsted weight yarn. Alternating bands of knits and purls create a scrunchy fabric that traps air for warmth. The scrunch conceals a secret swirling lace pattern in the knit sections. This cowl can also be pulled up and worn as a hood.
I used KnitCircus Ringmaster Panoramic Gradient in a 150g/277 yard cake. This is the perfect amount of yarn to knit this scrunchy cowl, and also have it be tall enough to wear as a hood.
The Concentric Cowl knits up quickly and is perfect for gift-giving, too.
Thanks to Knit Circus for the beautiful yarn! And thanks to tech editor Amanda Woodruff, and test knitters Ann Berg and Tami Hawes.
